Incumbent Ahtahkakoop Chief Back For New Term

Larry Ahenakew has been re-elected as chief of the Ahtahkakoop First Nation.

Ahenakew defeated former councillor Glen Bird in yesterday’s chief and council election by a vote count of 733 to 212.

This will be Ahenakew’s third term in office.

Three new councillors were elected yesterday — Neil Ahenakew, Bryce Isbister, and Eliza Sasakamoose.

Councillors back for another term are Fletcher Greyeyes, Stanley Sasakamoose, Elmer Masusakapoe, Carmen Little, Bryce Isbister, Raymond William, Russell Ahenakew, Jason Mussacapo, Barry Sasakamoose and Kathy Ahenakew.
