A final report on how to improve the state of drinking water on Canada’s First Nations is now in the hands of Indian Affairs.

A clerk with INAC confirms they have received the document, which was compiled by a task-force earlier this fall.

The task-force toured the country, asking band-operators in each province, how drinking water standards could be improved.

Indian Affairs Minister Jim Prentice pledged to address the problem earlier this year but it hasn’t been revealed when he will respond to the report.
