Ile-a-la-Crosse Teenager Dies in Shooting

The Ile a la Crosse RCMP is investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a 16-year-old late Friday night.

The RCMP reports that a youth from Ile a la Crosse was shot while camping with 3 other people on an island close to that community.

Foul play is not suspected at this time. However, police continue to investigate.

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit out of Saskatoon has also been brought in to help investigate.

No names have been released.
