Identity of La Loche Murder Suspect Released

The RCMP has released the name of the man accused of first degree murder in La Loche.

21-year-old Lyle Jody Park of La Loche made a court appearance yesterday.

He was charged following the death of 32-year-old Calgary resident Christopher Montgrand last week.

Montgrand’s body was found on a road in the community early last Thursday morning.

Montgrand was reportedly in La Loche for the funeral of the 42-year-old woman recently found dead on the community’s outskirts.

Park has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on October 18th.
