Hundreds Flock to Northern Talent Showcase

Organizers say as many as 900 people turned out to see the first annual “Talent of the North” shows in La Ronge this past weekend.

The event drew singers and musicians from across the North for a talent showcase that was patterned after the “Voices of the North” show in Prince Albert.

Promoter Danny Mirasty says the buzz the shows created in the community this past weekend was very gratifying to hear.

Mirasty admits this year’s show was put together in two months, and would like to give the musicians more time to learn the music for the performers for next year’s show.

He also says organizers plan to have auditions for next year’s show sometime before Christmas.
