Hopkins Promises To Be Good Environmental Steward

The CEO of Oilsands Quest says his company will leave a minimal footprint on the environment after exploring and potentially developing oil sands in the La Loche area.

Christopher Hopkins says there will not be massive mines or tailings ponds like in Alberta.

Hopkins says his company is focused on being as environmentally-friendly as possible — noting he has a background as an environmental engineer.

He says the operation will look similar to oil sands development in southern Saskatchewan with surface mines.

According to Hopkins, it will be an operation to be proud of.
