Saskatchewan Highway officials are saying the repairs on Highway 2 will likely last into the weekend.

Early yesterday, reports were in that the Montreal River Bridge, approximately 55 kilometers South of La Ronge, had a hole in it, which led to imposed highway restrictions.

Jan Olson, from the Highways office in La Ronge, says repairs were made and heavy traffic can now pass over the bridge. The bridge, however, has be restricted to single lane traffic only.

Olson says it will likely be Friday evening or Saturday before highway traffic is back to normal.
