A meeting between northern First Nations leaders and government officials is underway in Prince Albert.

It is the second day of a duty to consult summit hosted by the Prince Albert Grand Council and Meadow Lake Tribal Council.

This morning, FSIN Chief Lawrence Joseph told delegates more work needs to happen so that bands can stay informed.

Meanwhile, the government has completed a report that recaps the province-wide roundtable held in May.

First Nations who participated in the event can expect to receive a copy within a few days.

The document is also available on the government’s website.

The provincial government is hoping to release a draft duty to consult policy by the end of the year.
