A judge will take the next few days to decide whether enough evidence exists to order a trial for a man accused of killing an elder on the Mistawasis First Nation.

37-year-old Vincent Roderick Dreaver faces one count of second-degree murder for allegedly causing the death of 81-year-old Antoine Sand.

He was arrested last summer after Sand was fatally stabbed outside a home on the reserve.

For the past two days, witnesses have been giving testimony and evidence has been presented at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Judge Hugh Harradence is expected to issue a ruling on Monday.
