Hatchet Lake Set To Elect New Council

A general election will take place on the Hatchet Lake Denesuline Nation next week.

Incumbent Chief Rosalie Tsannie-Burseth is seeking re-election against challenger Bart Tsannie.

Meantime, 14 people are competing for six seats on council.

Advance polls are being held at the Hatchet Lake band hall today, and at the Prince Albert Travelodge on Thursday.

The general election is set for June 4.
