Harrison’s Role As Civil Servant Questioned

Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River MP Gary Merasty is wondering who former MP Jeremy Harrison represents when he meets with northerners — the federal government or the Tories?
Harrison is currently employed as a senior advisor in the Conservative government and has been touring his former riding recently.
He has admitted he is leaning towards making a run for his old position in the next federal election.
Harrison has also been on the offensive the last several weeks, unleashing scathing critiques of Merasty’s performance as an MP.
But Merasty says it’s Harrison who has some explaining to do, after issuing campaign-style press releases while employed in a non-partisan position as a public servant.
Merasty also wonders what role Harrison played in the Tories’ decision to walk away from the Kelowna Accord and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
