An official with the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan says Jeremy Harrison’s chances at ever being re-elected or receiving support from the Metis community are “slim to none”.

MNS treasurer Ray Laliberte is making the statements in response to what he calls Harrison’s “political insults” this week.

Laliberte calls the allegations of voting irregularities in Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River made by Harrison and the NDP’s Anita Jackson a desperate attempt to justify an appeal.

Laliberte says Metis citizens are disgusted by the former MP’s public comments, and Laliberte claims many believe the statements reveal Harrison’s true feelings about Metis and First Nations citizens and communities.
