Harrison Surprised By Jolibois’ Announcement

The current Member of Parliament for northern Saskatchewan says he can’t believe that La Loche mayor Georgina Jolibois will oppose him in the next election.
Jeremy Harrison says he had lunch with Jolibois last Thursday and she never mentioned to him that she was planning to represent the NDP in the next federal vote.
Harrison says he’s surprised at the move considering all that he’s done to support Jolibois and La Loche.
He says he still likes his chances though, and believes many residents in the North staunchly support him.
Harrison says he also disagrees with Jolibois’ assertion that the riding would best be served by someone of Aboriginal ancestry.
He doesn’t think race should be a determining factor of who the voters choose.
