Churchill River Conservative candidate Jeremy Harrison says he would have a lot of pull in Ottawa if both the riding and the country vote in the Conservatives.

Harrison says he and Conservative leader Stephen Harper go back several years, and says the two of them have been dialoguing about northern Saskatchewan issues for the last 2 years.

Harrison feels the riding and northern issues have been on the backburner in Ottawa for the last several years, but says that will change if he and the Conservatives get voted in.

Harrison says Harper called him last week and has a great deal of interest in the Churchill River riding and its issues.

Harrison says he and Harper have talked numerous times about the issue of home ownership on reserves, and says Harper is serious about making that happen.
