Former Desnethe-Missinipi-Churchill River MP Jeremy Harrison says the recent trip to northern Saskatchewan by the Federal Indian Affairs Minister shows the Conservative Governments support of First Nations and Aboriginal communities.

Harrison was present for Monday’s grand opening of a new health clinic in Canoe Lake and says it was the first ever visit by a sitting Minister to the community.

Harrison says this visit only enhances and reiterates the commitment by Minister Jim Prentice and the new Conservative government to First Nations and Metis people.
