The Member of Parliament for Northern Saskatchewan has been given new duties within the Conservative Party.
Jeremy Harrison has been named the new Opposition Critic of the Federal Interlocutor for Metis and Non-Status Indians by Conservative Party Leader Stephen Harper.
He is also the party’s new critic of the Minister of State for Northern Development
Harrison recently pushed through a motion calling for fair compensation to First Nations, Metis and Inuit war veterans.
Now that Harrison has this position, he has hopes that his voice can be heard more loudly.
Harrison is also the vice chair of the House of Commons Aboriginal Affairs Committee.
