Former First Nations University president Dr. Eber Hampton has severed ties with the school completely.

The University of Regina’s business school announced yesterday that Hampton has agreed to become an Executive-In-Residence and professor in the Faculty of Business.

Hampton had been serving as a faculty member at the First Nations University since stepping down as the institution’s president last month.

Hampton’s departure is among the latest in a string of dismissals, suspensions and resignations at the troubled First Nations University.

According to the Regina Leader-Post, Hampton’s executive assistant — Marlene Stetner-Lerat — received her walking papers yesterday after his announcement.

A former artist-in-residence at the university, Tyrone Tootoosis, was also shown the door yesterday.
