Half of Survivors Recieved Money

An official with Service Canada says almost 50% of residential school survivors have received their common experience payments.

 

So far, the department has received 82,500 applications for compensation from across the country. Of those requests 38,845 payments have been made.

 

Totalling $ 768.6 million.
