The Saskatchewan Housing Corporation is currently looking for researchers interested in examining issues related to housing conditions in Aboriginal, inner-city and northern communities.
Community Resources Minister Buckley Belanger says the annual research grant will offer up to $45,000 in funding for qualified individuals or groups conducting housing research.
Belanger says improving housing conditions for Aboriginal households, revitalizing inner-city areas and strengthening northern communities are all themes that mirror the province’s housing strategy.
He points out “Homefirst” is aimed at providing safe, affordable housing to Saskatchewan’s low-income families.
The SHC will be accepting research proposals until September 29th.
