The Gordon First Nation in southern Saskatchewan will be the scene of a major gathering next month for former students of residential schools.

Band councillor and event co-organizer Eddie Bitternose says government representatives, lawyers and former school residents will all be on hand to share their knowledge of what types of compensation packages may be open to survivors.

He adds the discussion will include detailed information on the differences between a class-action lawsuit and the recently-launched dispute-resolution process.

The gathering begins on August 3rd and is open to anyone.
