Scores of people came out to an Open House held by Oilsands Quest in La Loche on Wednesday.

The company has permits and licences to explore for oil in more than 730-thousand acres of Saskatchewan oilsands.

Kevin Janvier is one of the people who stopped by.

The 26-year-old has a job now. But he’s looking ahead. He says he might change careers if the situation was right.

La Loche Mayor Georgina Jolibois attended the Open House too.

She says a deal between the village council and Oilsands Quest calls for this kind of dialogue.

The Open House was held in the La Loche Community School/Dene building.
