Gold Mining Company Begins New Drilling Program

Drilling is set to begin later this month on two newly-discovered sites in northern Saskatchewan that may be mineable gold deposits.
Golden Band Resources will begin the drilling program near Brabant Lake to see whether the new “gold showings” — known as “Thunder” and “Lightning” — are in fact substantial deposits of the precious metal.
If so, Golden Band could have a fourth commercially viable site to develop in the La Ronge Gold Belt.
While company president Rodney Orr says he’s “very encouraged” by the testing results so far, a lot more work is still required.
“If it warrants it, well, then we’ll continue to drill that (area) until we can define potentially a resource that, if it’s large enough, can eventually become a mine,” Orr says.
Orr says findings from this month’s drilling program should be in by mid-October.
