An annual celebration of culture and history is set to begin in a few days time.
The Sandy Point Gathering begins this Friday at the Gardiner farm in Green Lake.
Coordinator for the event, Nap Gardiner, says as many as 100 people could show up for the gathering, which has been held since 1999.
He says it’s something he looks forward to every year, as family and friends come together to reflect on their northern heritage.
Gardiner says games for the children will be played and a musician from Jans Bay is also coming in. The gathering wraps up on Sunday.
