Funnel Cloud Reported Near Buffalo Narrows

A funnel cloud was spotted near Buffalo Narrows yesterday.
Environment Canada spokesman Bob Cormier says the report was called in by a pilot around mid-afternoon.
Cormier says the pilot noticed the funnel cloud while flying about 110 kilometres south of the northern village.
He says the sighting is consistent with what forecasters knew about the weather system that was moving through the area.
Cormier says there’s no evidence the funnel cloud spawned a tornado, and points that most don’t.
He also says it’s highly likely other funnel clouds formed in the North yesterday, but weren’t spotted because of their remoteness.
