The U.S. marine from the Thunderchild First Nation that died recently in Iraq was laid to rest over the weekend.

The funeral for 25-year-old Robert McCoy was held in Woodsboro, Texas on Saturday.

McCoy was one of four marines killed in a roadside explosion on September 7th in Iraq.

McCoy was the great-grandson of well-known First Nations war veteran George Horse.
