Northerners wanting to finish a Bachelor of Arts degree in northern Saskatchewan can now do it.

Northlands College co-ordinator Glenys Plunz says for the first time ever, students can stay in the North to complete their third and fourth years of a B.A. degree.

Plunz says the new opportunity is available to students who major in Northern Studies.

Most of their course load will include classes in Aboriginal governance and policies, land and environment, peoples and culture, and land agreements and treaties.

She says students wishing to apply for the course, which begins in September, must do so prior to May 26th.

Northlands College offers university classes in northern communities like La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and Creighton.
