The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations gets down to business today — election business, that is.

Elections are scheduled to take up most of the agenda at the FSIN’s assembly in Saskatoon over the next two days.

Votes will be held tomorrow in races for four of the federation’s five positions on the executive.

The big match-up pits incumbent chief Alphonse Bird against vice-chiefs Lawrence Joseph and Delbert Wapass.

Candidate speeches and nominations are taking place this afternoon.
