A couple of sitting vice-chiefs at the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations have just received an endorsement for their work.

The results from the FSIN vice chief elections in Saskatoon were held this morning and incumbents Lawrence Joseph and Guy Lonechild were re-elected.

Joseph received 506 votes. His closest competitor was Raymond Shingoose, who received 222 votes. Ken Thomas secured 102 votes.

Lonechild was re-elected with 439 votes. Pat Sparvier had the next most votes in that race, with 252. Eileen Gelozitz received 66.

This will be Lonechild’s second term in office. Joseph is starting his third term.
