FSIN Vice Chief Candidates Announced

Six candidates have put their names forward for the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations vice chief positions that will be up for grabs next month.

 

The terms for Second Vice Chief Guy Lonechild and Fourth Vice Chief Lawrence Joseph are up.

 

Both are seeking re-election.

 

Lonechild’s challengers include Pat Sparvier of the Cowessess First Nation and Ken Thomas of the Pelican Lake First Nation.

 

The people challenging Joseph are Eileen Gelowitz of the Big River First Nation and Raymond Shingoose of the Cote First Nation.

 

The election will run October 19th and 20th in Saskatoon during the FSIN’s fall legislative assembly.
