FSIN Suspends Senator

CBC Radio is reporting that a Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations senator has been suspended from that position.

Theresa Stevenson says she will have more to say about the matter at a news conference later today.

Stevenson has been an outspoken critic of FSIN vice chief Morley Watson, who fired her son from his duties as a high-ranking official at the First Nations University of Canada in Regina.

Watson still hasn’t explained why Wes Stevenson was fired.

Wes Stevenson’s dismissal came a few weeks after he and two other officials were suspended over allegations Watson says have been forwarded to the RCMP.
