The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations is hosting a discussion forum about nuclear energy today.

Panel guests will make presentations, and discuss the topic with the public.

Panelists include renowned Native American activist Winona LaDuke, activist and retired professor Jim Harding, Peter Prebble, and Walter Keyes from the Canadian Nuclear Society.

The FSIN says it does not have a position on nuclear energy, but is hosting the event for purposes of education and dialogue.

It begins this afternoon at the First Nations University of Canada campus in Saskatoon.
