Francophones Invited To Back To Batoche Event

Francophones have been invited to attend the next Back to Batoche Days Metis celebration in Batoche.

That invitation was extended Sunday in North Battleford, during the last day of a three-day Metis/Francophone roundtable discussion in the city.

Peter Bishop of Saskatoon came up with the idea, and he says he’d like to see the Francophone culture on full display at Back to Batoche — especially their dancers.

Co-chairs Viola Allan and Henri Bouvier praised the idea.

They say they’ll take it back to Metis and Francophone groups in the province to get their feedback.
