Four Northerners Take Home Aboriginal Youth Awards

Four youth from northern Saskatchewan have been honoured by the province’s phone carrier.

Kristen Charles of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Sean Cheecham of the Clearwater River Dene Nation, Cornel Herman of La Loche and Kesha Larocque of Waterhen Lake all took home Sasktel Aboriginal Youth Awards at a banquet held Friday night in Saskatoon.

Cheecham won his award for showing excellence in leadership, Charles received her award for her involvement and accomplishments in the field of recreation, Herman took home the spirit award and Larocque won the award for outstanding achievement.
