Forestry Minister Holds Meetings With Mill Buyer

The provincial Forestry Minister had his first meeting today with the new company taking over the Prince Albert Pulp and Paper Mill.

However, Eldon Lautermilch says it’s still too early to say what Domtar intends to do with the facility.

No real answers were forthcoming today, but Lautermilch says he’s hoping to have more answers in the next few days.

Lautermilch says one thing he’s aware of is that Domtar hasn’t been doing business in Saskatchewan before, but Weyerhaeuser has. That means the former owner of the mill could be very instrumental in showing Domtar the way.
