Members of a committee assigned to review the First Nations University of Canada will be welcomed with open arms, according to the institution’s president.

Charles Pratt says he welcomes the opportunity to show the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada his school respects things like academic freedom and autonomy.

However, he hopes the committee will be made up of people who understand First Nations culture.

Pratt says he’s also hoping he will be allowed to appoint a person to the group.

The review takes place this fall.
