The interim president of the scandal-plagued First Nations University of Canada says he fully expects the university will remain accredited.

Charles Pratt was in Ottawa Thursday for a meeting with the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada.

The AUCC wanted to get answers directly from Pratt and other FNUC officials about all the suspensions, dismissals and resignations at the school, as well as the reports of financial troubles at the institution.

Pratt calls the meeting a “very positive information exchange” and says he was pleased with the outcome of the get-together.

Officials with the AUCC have remained tight-lipped about what was discussed at the meeting.

Pratt says he will be extending an invitation to the association to have representatives visit the FNUC campus in Regina at a mutually suitable time.
