Flood Warning Issued In Northeast Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority has upgraded its high streamflow advisory for the Churchill and Reindeer River basins to a flood warning.
The authority says water levels rose over the last week because of heavy rain, and there is more rain in the forecast for the next couple of days.
The high flows are expected to cause flooding of low-lying areas, and people with belongings adjacent to rivers and lakes in the region are once again being advised to move them to higher ground.
SWA officials predict the flows on the lower Churchill River will be the highest recorded levels since records were first collected in the late 1920s.
