This year’s Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Forum will once again have strong northern representation.

Jordyn Burnouf of Ile-a-la-Crosse, Dakota de Caux of La Loche, and Sheldon Merriman, Joseph Randhile and Robyn Woodhouse-McKenzie of La Ronge will all be taking part.

The students will head out for 10 days in October, making stops in Saskatoon, Regina, Moose Jaw and La Ronge along the way.

A total of 19 Saskatchewan students with leadership potential have been chosen, and will get to rub shoulders with leaders in government and industry.

Project Manager Don Savaria says previous editions of the leadership forum have impacted the youth greatly, and some have described the experience as life-changing.

During the last two days of the trip, the group will be in La Ronge meeting with local business leaders and members of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
