First Peoples Party Wants In On Televised Debates

The First Peoples National Party is demanding to be included in the upcoming televised leaders’ debates.

Following the successful lobbying by Elizabeth May and the Green Party to be included, the First Peoples Party says it also should be allowed the opportunity to speak to the country.

The First Peoples Party says it, too, has the moral right to be there, and failing to allow it entry amounts to colonialism.

The party argues it represents the only ethnic group in the country that is solely the responsibility of the federal government — and as such, should be allowed to debate the Prime Minister and the Opposition.

The debates will be carried live on most of Canada’s networks on October 1st and 2nd from Ottawa.
