The Prince Albert Grand Council’s 13th Annual Fine Arts Festival is officially underway.

Dignitaries from the city and representatives of the various bands marked the start of the event with a grand

procession yesterday afternoon.

PAGC Vice Chief Elmer Ballantyne says the festival represents one of the rare opportunties that children

throughout the North, particularly in the Athabasca region, have to travel to Prince Albert and meet kids from other reserves.

Events run until Friday at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
