FFMC Presidents’ Departure Won’t Affect Fishers

The upcoming departure of the Fisheries President isn’t upsetting at least one northerner.
John Carriere of the Saskatchewan Fishers Co-op says Bob Hand’s recent resignation from the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation is just another blip in the road.
Hand notified the FFMC he would be leaving sometime in April for personal reasons.
Carriere says the move shouldn’t affect plans by Saskatchewan fishers’ to start up a new processing plant.
Carriere says they were expecting the move after Hand failed to receive a contract extension from the corporation.
