An inmate from the Pinegrove Correctional Centre in Prince Albert is currently at large.

30-year-old Chastity Desjarlais is a “low-security inmate” of the centre, and was serving a sentence for robbery, resisting and obstructing a peace officer, assault of a peace officer and failure to comply.

Corrections and Public Safety spokesperson Judy Orthner says Desjarlais disappeared yesterday afternoon during an escorted absence into the community.

Orthner says Desjarlais had been with a Pinegrove staff member when she “walked away”.

Anyone who knows of Desjarlais’ whereabouts is urged not to approach her, but to contact police immediately.
