The Federal Government has announced it’s topping up the funds of the Metis Nation of Alberta.

Federal interlocutor Jim Prentice and two other ministers are awarding the group $686,000 for more than a dozen projects.

Some of the initiatives include language programming, wilderness camps, workshops on genealogy, story-telling and more.

The money is coming out of the Federal Government’s Aboriginal People’s Program.
