The Department of Canadian Heritage has announced new funding for the Saskatchewan Aboriginal Women’s Circle.

The funding, which is over $17,000, will help the group organize two Aboriginal women’s self-governance workshops to be delivered in Prince Albert and at the Keeseekoose First Nation.

The workshops are being held so the participants can discuss their vision and priorities and address self-governance issues.

They’re designed to give Aboriginal women more knowledge about governance, public policy and empowerment issues.
