Fate Of PBCN TLE Money Still A Mystery

Meetings are scheduled to take place between trustees of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation and chief and council over the recent emptying of a TLE Trust account.

Trustees chairman Tom Bird says detailed talks will begin on June 14th and last approximately three days.

Bird is still refusing to provide details on the situation, which saw $3.7 million dollars disappear from a TLE Trust account between December of last year and March of 2005.

Bird says he knows many band members are seeking to find out what happened, and he says they will learn in due course.

Right now, he and other trustee members are working with chief and council to determine how the money will be paid back.
