Communities in the Far North could be in for some extra rain this spring.

Bob Cormier of Environment Canada says long-term trends in both the Hudson Bay region and the Northwest Territories has him thinking that April and May could see very active systems in the Athabasca region.

Cormier adds much of the extra moisture will also likely come from the Prince Albert/Parkland region, which could notice a drop in precipitation this spring.
