The family of a missing high school student from Regina is trying to raise money for a reward.

17-year-old Tara-Lyn Poorman was last seen more than a month ago on December 12th at a residence in the 400 block of Halifax Street.

Poorman is 5’3″ tall, weighs 130 lbs., is of Aboriginal ancestry, and has brown eyes and long brown hair with highlights. Poorman also wears glasses and has a beauty mark under her right eye.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a long purple shirt over black leggings with black suede knee-high boots and a black winter coat.

Shellyn Kay is Poorman’s mother, and says the past five weeks have been agonizing for the whole family.

Kay says Poorman was a good student who was well-liked.

She also says her daughter didn’t party or drink much, but did go to a party before she disappeared.

The family held a merchandise bingo at the Kawacatoose gym on Saturday.

There will be a fundraising luncheon at the Rainbow Community Centre on Wednesday.

People can also make direct donations to the “Find Tara Fund” at the Scotiabank in Wynyard.
