Members of the English River First Nation will be sitting down with representatives from a mineral exploration company tonight at a meeting in Patuanak.

Officials from Titan Mining will be outlining their plans to explore Cree Lake for uranium.

Titan Mining is planning to drill Cree Lake from on top of the ice this winter in order to do testing for uranium under the lake.

A band councillor says an initial meeting between the two sides has already taken place in Saskatoon, where band officials expressed their concern over the possible environmental effects of the plan.

The band official says trappers and hunters also want to know how the activity will impact their livelihoods.
