End To Ice Road Construction In Sight

An ice road to Wollaston Lake is just a few days away from being completed.
Band councillor Ed Benoanie says over half of the road is finished.
Benoanie also says truckloads of supplies could start arriving by next week.
He doesn’t think full-sized trucks will be allowed onto the road at first, but that could change depending on the weather.
He adds the band is doing OK for supplies.
An unusually warm winter last year played havoc with ice road construction and led to severe shortages of food, fuel and othe supplies.
