Election Day In Dillon

The Buffalo River Dene Nation is holding its chief and council election today.

Incumbent chief Elmer Campbell has been in office for the last 11 years and is seeking re-election.

He’s up against two challengers — former band councillor Louis Chanalquay and local healing foundation official Freddie Billette.

A total of 13 people are running for the five positions on the band council, including three incumbents.
